Our Journey
The Love Story
A few moments along the way
Friendship
Our journey did not begin with romantic grand gestures, but with quiet service in God’s house. Between 2017 and 2019, God brought two unlikely lives together as best friends, placing us side by side in the very same ministries. From running youth gatherings and managing media setups to standing together on the praise and worship team, our days were filled with serving the Lord and serving His people.
In those early years, we never imagined where this road would lead, but God was intentionally laying a firm, unwavering foundation for us. He taught us how to be partners in faith, how to pray for one another, and how to honor Him in all that we did. What seemed like ordinary moments of serving and laughing together were actually God’s grace at work, weaving our lives together thread by thread.
Through every worship service and ministry event, the Lord was quietly preparing our hearts for a story far greater than we could have ever written on our own. He anchored our friendship in Him, ensuring that when the time was right, our love would be rooted in His unfailing grace.
Courtship & Season of Growth
In 2020, God led us into a new season of intentionality, transitioning our friendship into a purposeful courtship. Before stepping into dating, we sought God’s wisdom, ensuring that our decision was covered in prayer and honored with the full blessing of our parents, ministry leaders, and mentees.
Officially dating in 2022 was not filled with idle days, but with real-world growth, adult responsibilities, and dedicated hard work. While balancing our jobs, household duties, and ongoing ministry commitments, we didn’t have time for superficial romance. We were building a life together in the trenches. Yet, in the middle of our busy schedules, God was refining us as a team.
He taught us how to support each other through the hustle, ground our commitment in trust, and keep our eyes fixed on Him. Our courtship became a test of strengths and maturity, showing us that love is found in daily faithfulness, mutual respect, and serving together.
God used every busy day and every shared load to mature our hearts, showing us that when He leads a relationship, He provides the grace and strength to carry both the ministry and each other.
She Said Yes!
As we approached the proposal, Josiah had his own plans, but God had a far better story already written. After two or three attempts where plans fell through or divine delays stopped the proposal, Josiah realized the timing and setting didn’t feel right because he was trying to force his own way. Stepping back in prayer, he surrendered the moment to God, trusting that the Lord’s timing is always perfect.
God then opened the exact door He designed, a moment not away in isolation, but right in the heart of our spiritual family. With the blessing of his parents and surrounded by the Youth 360 leaders and their beloved mentees, Josiah got down on one knee. It was in front of the very community that had prayed over us, served alongside us, and witnessed God’s hand on our relationship from day one.
Every initial “fail” was simply God rerouting us toward a moment of pure grace and divine alignment. She said yes to a lifetime together, giving all the glory to the God who orchestrated every single step of our story.
Now, as we count down to December 28, 2026, we step toward the altar knowing that the God who started this good work will surely carry it through to our wedding day.
